Profile

With over 15 years experience in the legal industry practising as an Independent Barrister, Lawyer, Lecturer, Leader and Mentor, I have honed my skills as a specialist in Building and Construction Law with my extensive advocacy experience and specialist Construction certification.

I was President of WLWA from 2014-2015.

We achieved a great deal as a team in 2015 including an historical women in the profession group photo and an all day CPD seminar held at Notre Dame.

Anne Wood, Partner at Kott Gunning lawyers, who has been on the committee for 10 years took over as President and had some exciting ideas in store for 2016.

There is plenty of work to be done!

I am passionate about promoting women and advancement in the legal profession and serve on the committee to ensure the issues faced by women lawyers are being considered and further addressed.

I am excited to be involved in seeing through the implementation phase and consulting with the target agencies and bodies about the recommendations against the milestones to achieve them.

I am hopeful our next generation will be less likely to face gender bias (not only in the legal profession but in the workforce Nationwide). I hope to play a role to help achieve that, including educating my own children about the reality women, particularly professional and working women face.
