Woman Lawyer Awards
Awards are not always presented each year.
The awards recognise women who have made an outstanding contribution in their various careers, whether or not their career has led to the traditional route of partnership, taking silk or an appointment to the bench. In this way, we recognise achievement and success that may not have been otherwise recognised.
Award Categories
Our Woman Lawyer of the Year awards are open in the following categories:
WOMAN LAWYER OF THE YEAR
This award recognises those women who have been admitted to practice for more than 5 years who have made an outstanding contribution towards the legal profession.
RURAL, REGIONAL AND REMOTE WOMAN LAWYER OF THE YEAR
This award recognises those women working in rural, regional and remote areas of Western Australia who have made an outstanding contribution towards the legal profession.
JUNIOR WOMAN LAWYER OF THE YEAR
This award recognises those women who have been admitted to practice for less than 5 years who have made an outstanding contribution towards the legal profession.
ANTOINETTE KENNEDY AWARD
The award recognises a career long contribution to the advancement of women in the legal profession. This award is made at the Committee’s discretion.
